Laura joined the Chemistry team in July 2010 following a varied career in Customer Services. After graduating from Charters School Sixth Form in Ascot, where she studied Business and Sociology she began a career in numerous customer service and administration roles, landing her in the Automotive Leasing industry where she worked for 3 years as a Driver Services Executive.
Laura’s role was to manage and ensure the smooth running of some large and high profile accounts, as well as supporting business project work and taking on team management responsibility alongside her manager. Here she expanded her people and communicative skills, and was able to take initiative when creating new processes for clients.
Laura will be working alongside the consulting team as a Project Coordinator. She will provide key support on new and ongoing projects and will be working with the consultants to ensure work is delivered to a high standard. Laura will also support the office administration roles such as running online testing and general day-to-day office responsibilities.
A fresh face to the industry, Laura is enthusiastic about new challenges, brings a creative personality and is a bit of a chatter-box… she’s going to fit in just fine!
Strength Behaviours

Creating Empathy
Laura tests and validates own understanding of another's ideas, feelings or beliefs by using paraph rasing and summary clarification to ensure that their perspective or viewpoint is fully understood. Encourages others to disclose own true ideas, feelings and beliefs through the use of self-disclosure. Is emotionally intelligent and uses this to respond to different individual requirements to encourage openness, commits time and energy to listening and encouraging others to discuss their true thoughts, concerns and feelings.

Processing Information
Laura compares merits of two or more realistic alternatives, by stating the pros and cons of each. May create over-arching plan or strategy as a result of this analysis that maximises the benefits and minimises the downsides of the original options. Manages solution comparison as a core part of solution development.

Making It Happen
Laura works hard to reduce the internal or external constraints on self and others to enhance the freedom for action and the scope for initiative. E.g., redesigns jobs to allocate more responsibility to the people closest to the customer; strips away unnecessary bureaucracy. Is always a step ahead of the game, presenting and signposting information, structure and next steps before others have even got the issue of the agenda. Leaves others with a strong sense of personal control, power and organisation.
