What is it?
It’s the world’s best insurance policy. However some of our clients are not ready to introduce an end-end process or lack the internal resource. For this set of our amazing clients we have “bottled” everything we know about accurate recruitment and deliver it in a one time cost effective payment. So that's it, bring us the candidate or the entire shortlist and we will let you know whether they are a strong fit for your business, the role and give you a view on their future potential. We will also let you know if they don't have any, fit or future potential that is.
How does it work ?
Clients are using QA to qualify shortlists from large Executive Search firms, objectively run internal promotion panels and even just to assess the odd candidate against a role. We will send the potential hire a couple of our psychometric tools before putting them through a thorough behavioural assessment. Our final report will be an objective and clear appraisal of their capability and potential to do the role, it will list the risks and the opportunities in hiring the individual and will give a clear recommendation on what we believe your decision should be. Furthermore it will also give you hints and tips on how you would make them productive from day one.

Constellation is the largest wine maker in the world by volume.
When Constellation hire we do their selection for them, whether that be internal employees or external candidates we do the objective assessments of the candidates and present the qualified shortlist to the hiring manager for them to hire from. We are objective, highly accurate, and every hire that we have made has been a lynchpin for their organisation, including one hire who was promoted within 12 months.
The Problem
Constellation like a lot of organisations were worried that when they promoted internally subjective opinion was clouding the judgement of who was the best person for the role. In short they wanted to make sure when hiring internally they were getting their recruitment as accurate as possible.
How We Helped
We put in place a “blind hiring” process. Any internal candidates (and external if applicable) were profiled using Chemistry unique IP and measured against the What Good Looks Likes profile for the role (we helped Constellation create this), however the names of the individuals and CVs were kept back from the hiring manager. Instead they were walked through the candidates potential and capability as it compared to the What Good Looks Like profile. This allowed Constellation to remove any prejudice based on reputation or subjective feedback, with the very best person for the role being selected every time.
In one instance a line manager trusted this scientific approach enough to review his initial favourite and eventually selected the candidate recommended by Chemistry QA. Since this decision was made, it has become clear that the decision he made was correct. This example stands testament to the power of predictive assessment and how it can be used to temper gut feel.
