Insight
What is it?
Chemistry believes that all people want to be brilliant at work, (well at least most of them), we also believe that unless you understand yourself and why you behave like you do, your ability to be truly brilliant for you and other people is impossible.
Chemistry Insight rapidly allows you and your organisation to understand your capability today and your potential for tomorrow. By understanding your behavioural strengths and your behavioural pitfalls, you can set yourself achievable goals to excel. No-ones perfect but knowing your value today and where you need to work on your value tomorrow becomes an incredibly powerful individual and organizational asset.
For the organisation Chemistry Insight provides an accelerated (can take merely days) understanding of the talent you have in your organisation. Who do you pile your development budget in to? Who are the people who will catapult your business forward? And who, to be quite frank, do you need to pull in to room and ask to go and be great somewhere else? It’s fast, it’s practical and incredibly objective.
How does it work ?
Firstly this is not some lay back on the couch therapy session, nor is it the sort of corporate nonsense that I am sure HR has put you through umpteen times in your career, we will not send 50 page reports out about how you are “passive-aggressive” and it was your parents fault you now can’t get a promotion.
We get you to spend an hour carrying out some online profiling tools, you then get to spend 90 minutes with one of our business psychologists who looks at your behavioural capability today and then spend time giving you what we know will be the most enlightening feedback you have ever had in your career. Even better they will also give you practical tips on how you can be better tomorrow at your job than you were today.
For the organisation, we will create talent maps of the capability and potential across divisions or teams, coupled with practical ideas on how the organizational performance can be improved with the right decisions around people.

The Problem
Dimension Data were looking at their client management population around the globe and restructuring their sales teams to move to a global client director structure. They approached Chemistry for our view on who in their current client management population could make the step into global client director as a role and what development they need in order to do that role successfully. The project covered Asia, Europe, Africa and North America.
How We Helped
Chemistry designed what good looks like for the new global client director role and gave them a new way of describing the job. We then profiled all of the existing client managers and all potential client managers against that profile and fed back our thoughts on the new structure, who should be involved in the new structure and what development needs they might have. Using the work we had done with the client directors we worked with Dimension Data’s HR department to create the global job framework for the entire sales arena.
The Result
Chemistry ensured that Dimension Data placed the right people in the right jobs at global client director level. We also introduced a resourcing process that is used for anyone being considered for a global client directors.
