Chemistry to Launch new Referral Scheme

Every recruitment company seems to have a referral scheme in place, but how well do they work? Most are pretty simple, they offer candidates cash if they refer somebody who gets successfully placed.
This model hasn't changed much over the years and being Chemistry, we thought we would try to come up with a better one!
So, we started thinking about all the times we have recommened things to our friends and realised there was a frighteningly simple answer; We only spontaneously recommend things to our friends if we have had a fantastic experience with them.
We concluded that instead of using money to pay people for referrals, that money would be better spent if we really invested in the candidates experience during the Chemistry process. And that is exactly what we have done, candidates now get invitations, welcome packs crammed full of useful information, specialist research tools to understand their future employers and new markets, bespoke feedback booklets and a free pen!
All of this combines to give candidates a fantastic experience with Chemistry, they will therefore refer their friends and colleagues willingly without feeling they are being paid to do so.
We do still believe that people should be rewarded if one of their friends gets placed, therefore we have gone into partnership with Quintessentially, a private members club with a 24 hour global concierge service. Any referrals we successfully place will earn the referee a years membership to this concierge service. Not a bad perk!
