Chemistry's 'Selling against the tide' event huge success

Chemistry hosted 50 Sales Directors and some great speakers at the IoD last night

IoD_logoAfter a fantastic year we thought it was about time to celebrate with some of our existing clients and contacts. We therefore launched the our first Chemistry Christmas Dinner. To focus of the evening to bring Sales Directors together from various industries to share and discuss new ideas.

Darren ShirlawWe were also joined by special guests Darren Shirlaw and Hugo Mahoney. Darren is a ex-financial analyst who has since started a coaching business which specialises in building business value. Darren gave some fascinating insight into the probable shape of the current recession and the likely recovery pattern. He then translated this into how business need to behave in order to capitalise on the various up and down swings in the markets.

Hugo MahoneyHugo Mahoney, Sales and Marketing Director of LexisNexis Butterworths talked about his transformation of a sales force used to selling print and products to a fluid and dynamic solution sales team. He showed how by focusing on the skills and behaviours needed in your salesforce, and building this into the recruitment process, you can create dramatic change in your sales force.

There was also a Charity Auction which raised over £2,400, with some very generous bids.
