Chemistry Recruiting Master Class Proves Resounding Success

RSS Feeds

Thursday 13th November saw the latest Recruiting Master Class offered by the Chemistry Network, a group of professionals who meet to explore problems facing the recruitment industry. This month the topic of discussion was “how to reduce your recruiting costs by up to 50%.”  The afternoon covered the impact of the internet on the recruitment market, best practice ideas on the use of job boards effectively, some of the latest web based recruitment technology.

Roger Philby, founder of Chemistry recruitment lead the discussion drawing on the experience he gained as both a recruitment consultant and as Head of Resourcing EMEA for Nortel Networks.  Roger’s enthusiasm and passion coupled with this in depth knowledge of his industry assured an exciting and informative afternoon.  The was added to by a presentation given by Matt Cummings of Webrecruit, the UK No. 1 flat fee online recruitment specialists, focusing on their alternative way of sourcing candidates.  A session was also devoted to Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), led by Jo Port of IMS Empresaria - one of India’s largest recruitment outsourcing companies.

All attendants found the Master Class to be extremely helpful and everyone took away some tips or advice they had not previously thought of. We recevied some fantastic feedback after the event:

“Some brilliant ideas on how to proactively use job sites and how to minimize reliance on agencies, I also thought the guest speakers were relevant!”
Recruitment Manager - f5 Networks

"The session was packed with useful ideas - you are obviously very good at what you do”
Resourcing Manager, Haden Building Management

“I loved the information packs and presenters, the new material that was covered was great”
Recruitment Manager, AMEY

After the success of the recent Master Classes Chemistry is already planning it’s next Master Class on the 15th January, this is a repeat of the very successful "Selection Skills" workshop.
